Zero Discrimination Day is observed on March 1
The Zero Discrimination Day is held every year on 1 March. Purpose of the day is to ensure right to equality, inclusion and protection of all people without any discrimination in their law and policies to live a full life with dignity regardless of any barriers. The Day was launched by UNAIDS in 2014. Theme of Zero Discrimination Day 2021 is “End Inequalities”
45th Civil Accounts Day celebrated on March 1
The 45th Civil Accounts Day was celebrated in New Delhi on 1 March. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was the Chief Guest of the event. Comptroller and Auditor General G.C. Murmu, Expenditure Secretary Dr T. V. Somanathan and Controller General of Accounts Soma Roy Burman were present on the occasion among others.
3rd Jan Aushadhi Diwas celebrations begins on March 1
The Third Jan Aushadhi Diwas celebrations began on 1st March. The week-long celebrations will go on till 7th of March. Jan Aushadhi Kendras conducted Health Check-up Camps across the country. The health check-up activities include Blood Pressure check-up, Sugar level check-up, free doctor consultation and free medicine distribution.

Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Thaawar Chand Gehlot launched the ‘Sugamya Bharat’ App and a handbook titled ‘Access – The Photo Digest’ through a video conference in New Delhi. The App and the handbook have been developed by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.
Israel officially receives first ever UAE ambassador
Israel’s president formally received the first-ever ambassador from the United Arab Emirates, following last year’s historic agreement between the countries to normalise ties. UAE envoy Mohamed Al Khaja delivered his credentials to Israeli President Reuven Rivlin at a ceremony in Jerusalem. The UAE was the first country to agree to establish full diplomatic relations with the Jewish state under the Abraham Accords, a pact brokered by former US president Donald Trump.
Sri Lanka approves new port development with India and Japan
Sri Lanka’s government will allow India and Japan to develop a new container terminal at the country’s main port, several weeks after scrapping a deal with the two countries to develop one of the key terminals at the same port.
Jaideep Bhatnagar takes over as Principal DG, PIB
Mr. Jaideep Bhatnagar has taken over as Principal Director General, Press Information Bureau. Mr. Bhatnagar is an Officer of the Indian Information Service belonging to 1986 Batch. He has earlier served in Doordarshan as Head of the Commercial, Sales and Marketing Division. He also served as Prasar Bharati Special Correspondent in West Asia.
Ladakh Sqay Team wins eight medals in 21st National Sqay Championship
Ladakh Sqay Team won eight medals in the recently concluded 21st National Sqay Championship held at Jaipur in Rajasthan. It was also presented an Outstanding Performance Award by the Sqay Federation of India.
Vinesh Phogat bags Gold in Ukraine wrestling event
Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat has won the gold medal in the women’s 53-kg category at XXIV Outstanding Ukrainian Wrestlers and Coaches Memorial in Kyiv, Ukraine. Vinesh Phogat defeated world number seven Vanesa Kaladzinskaya of Belarus in the finals to win the gold medal and make a winning return to her first competitive outing since the Covid-19 induced lockdown.
Book Titled ‘Advantage India: The Story of Indian Tennis’ by Anindya Dutta
The banker-turned-author Anindya Dutta has come out with his new book titled “Advantage India: The Story of Indian Tennis”, which is about the history of Indian tennis. The book revolves around pre-Independence tennis and early players like Ramanathan Krishnan and Vijay Amritraj. Westland Sport is the publisher of the book.

BJP MP from Khandwa, Nand Kumar Singh Chauhan passed away in Medanta Hospital, Delhi-NCR last night. He had tested positive for COVID19 and was undergoing treatment at Delhi.

1 मार्च को Zero Discrimination Day मनाया गया
Zero Discrimination Day हर साल 1 मार्च को आयोजित किया जाता है। दिन का उद्देश्य किसी भी बाधाओं की परवाह किए बिना पूर्ण कानून के साथ जीवन जीने के लिए अपने कानून और नीतियों में किसी भी भेदभाव के बिना सभी लोगों की समानता, समावेश और संरक्षण का अधिकार सुनिश्चित करना है। इस दिवस को 2014 में UNAIDS द्वारा लॉन्च किया गया था। Zero Discrimination Day 2021 का थीम “अंत असमानताएं” है।
1 मार्च को 45 वां सिविल लेखा दिवस मनाया गया
1 मार्च को नई दिल्ली में 45 वां नागरिक लेखा दिवस मनाया गया। वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण इस कार्यक्रम की मुख्य अतिथि थीं। नियंत्रक एवं महालेखा परीक्षक जी.सी. मुर्मू, व्यय सचिव डॉ। टी। वी। सोमनाथन और लेखा महानियंत्रक सोमा रॉय बर्मन अन्य उपस्थित थे।
1 मार्च को तृतीय जन औषधि दिवस समारोह शुरू
तृतीय जन औषधि दिवस समारोह 1 मार्च से शुरू हुआ। जन औषधि समारोह 7 मार्च तक चलेगा। जन औषधि केंद्रों ने देश भर में स्वास्थ्य जांच शिविर आयोजित किए। स्वास्थ्य जांच गतिविधियों में रक्तचाप की जांच, शुगर स्तर की जांच, मुफ्त चिकित्सक परामर्श और मुफ्त दवा वितरण शामिल हैं।

इज़राइल आधिकारिक तौर पर पहली बार संयुक्त अरब अमीरात का राजदूत प्राप्त किया
संबंधों को सामान्य बनाने के लिए देशों के बीच पिछले साल के ऐतिहासिक समझौते के बाद, इज़राइल के राष्ट्रपति ने औपचारिक रूप से संयुक्त अरब अमीरात से पहला राजदूत प्राप्त किया। यूएई के दूत मोहम्मद अल खाजा ने यरुशलम में एक समारोह में इजरायल के राष्ट्रपति रियूवेन रिवलिन को अपनी साख दी। यूएई पहला देश था, जो अब्राहम समझौते के तहत यहूदी राज्य के साथ पूर्ण राजनयिक संबंध स्थापित करने के लिए सहमत हुआ था, जो कि अमेरिका के पूर्व राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प द्वारा रचा गया एक समझौता था।

राजस्थान के जयपुर में हाल ही में संपन्न 21 वीं राष्ट्रीय सकाय चैंपियनशिप में लद्दाख टीम ने आठ पदक जीते। इसे भारत के Sqay फेडरेशन द्वारा उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन पुरस्कार भी प्रदान किया गया।
विनेश फोगट ने यूक्रेन कुश्ती स्पर्धा में गोल्ड जीता
भारतीय पहलवान विनेश फोगट ने कीव, यूक्रेन में उत्कृष्ट पहलवान यूक्रेनी पहलवानों और कोच मेमोरियल में महिलाओं के 53 किलोग्राम वर्ग में स्वर्ण पदक जीता है। विनेश फोगाट ने फाइनल में बेलारूस की विश्व नंबर सात वैनेसा कलादज़िंस्काया को हराकर स्वर्ण पदक जीता और कोविद -19 प्रेरित लॉकडाउन के बाद से अपने पहले प्रतिस्पर्धी मुकाबले में वापसी की।

भाजपा सांसद नंद कुमार सिंह चौहान का निधन
खंडवा के भाजपा सांसद नंद कुमार सिंह चौहान का कल रात दिल्ली-एनसीआर के मेदांता अस्पताल में निधन हो गया। उन्होंने COVID19 के लिए सकारात्मक परीक्षण किया था और दिल्ली में उनका इलाज चल रहा था।
