Today’s “Word of the Day” ispalm off “ and it is a phrasal verb meaning “to sell or get rid of something by trick/fraud; to pass off something by deception; to persuade someone to believe false explanation/excuse; fob off”.

Example Sentence:

  • They palmed off their shoddiest products on the Russians.
  • Everyone is therefore keen on palming it off as quickly as possible.
