In Jammu and Kashmir, the National Commission for Women (NCW) in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department of the Union Territory held the first ever Mahila Jan Sunwai Programme in Jammu.

The Uttar Pradesh government has introduced a system of issuing a unique 16-digit Unicode to mark all kinds of landholdings in the state. Purpose of the unicode is to check cases of land disputes, put an end to fake registries of disputed land and save people from falling into the trap of fraudsters.

Govt launches new Central Sector Scheme titled ‘Formation and Promotion of 10,000 FPOs
The Ministry of Agriculture has said that the government has launched a new Central Sector Scheme titled ‘Formation and Promotion of 10,000 Farmer Produce Organizations (FPOs)’ and it has committed resources in this regard with a budgetary provision of Rs 6,865 crore. The Ministry in a statement said that FPOs are to be developed to produce clusters, wherein agricultural and horticultural products are grown for leveraging economies of scale and improving market access for members.

India and Afghanistan ink pact to build Shahtoot Dam in Kabul. The Shahtoot dam is to be built on the Maidan river tributary of Kabul river. The project has been in the works for several years even as Pakistan has expressed concern that it would reduce water flow into the country. It is part of new development initiatives unveiled by India last November. India has also taken up community projects worth $80 million in Afghanistan as part of a programme to take development to the farthest corners of Afghanistan through schemes directly impacting the lives of Afghans.

India Tennis Legend and Davis Cup Coach Akhtar Ali passed away
A former Davis Cup coach and legendary Indian tennis player, Akhtar Ali, has passed away, as he was suffering from Parkinson’s disease and other health issues. He was 81.Akhtar Ali, was a father figure in Indian tennis. He represented India continuously in eight Davis Cup between 1958 and 1964 and was captain of Indian Davis Cup in 2008.

उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार ने लैंडहोल्डिंग की पहचान करने के लिए अद्वितीय 16 अंकों के यूनिकोड की घोषणा की
उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार ने राज्य में सभी प्रकार के लैंडहोल्डिंग को चिह्नित करने के लिए एक 16 अंकों का यूनिकोड जारी करने की प्रणाली शुरू की है। यूनिकोड का उद्देश्य भूमि विवाद के मामलों की जांच करना है, विवादित भूमि की नकली रजिस्ट्रियों को समाप्त करना और लोगों को धोखेबाजों के जाल में फंसने से बचाना है।

सरकार ने 10,000 एफपीओ के गठन और संवर्धन नामक नई केंद्रीय क्षेत्र योजना शुरू की
कृषि मंत्रालय ने कहा है कि सरकार ने Scheme 10,000 किसान उत्पादन संगठनों (एफपीओ) ’के गठन और संवर्धन नामक एक नई केंद्रीय क्षेत्र योजना शुरू की है और इसने 6,865 करोड़ रुपये के बजटीय प्रावधान के साथ इस संबंध में संसाधन किए हैं। मंत्रालय ने एक बयान में कहा कि एफपीओ को क्लस्टर बनाने के लिए विकसित किया जाना है, जिसमें कृषि और बागवानी उत्पादों को पैमाने की अर्थव्यवस्थाओं का लाभ उठाने और सदस्यों के लिए बाजार पहुंच में सुधार के लिए उगाया जाता है।

भारत टेनिस लेजेंड और डेविस कप कोच अख्तर अली का 81 साल की उम्र में निधन हो गया
डेविस कप के पूर्व कोच और महान भारतीय टेनिस खिलाड़ी अख्तर अली का निधन हो गया है, क्योंकि वह पार्किंसंस रोग और अन्य स्वास्थ्य समस्याओं से पीड़ित थे। वह 81 .अख्तर अली, भारतीय टेनिस में एक पिता के रूप में थे। उन्होंने 1958 और 1964 के बीच लगातार आठ डेविस कप में भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व किया और 2008 में भारतीय डेविस कप के कप्तान थे।
