PM Modi launches Asom Mala in Assam’s Sonitpur district
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the ‘Asom Mala’ programme in Dhekiajuli of Sonitpur district. As per the PMO, this initiative will boost the state’s road infrastructure and contribute to Assam’s economic progress and improve connectivity.
India’s first geothermal power project to be established at Puga village of eastern Ladakh
India’s first geothermal power project will be established at Puga village of eastern Ladakh. Puga has been identified as the hotspot of geothermal energy in the country by the scientists. India’s first ever geothermal power project, known as Geothermal Field Development Project is planned to commission by the end of 2022. The tripartite MOU was signed between ONGC Energy, LAHDC, Leh and the Power Department of UT Ladakh.
Kerala to gets its first human milk bank
The State’s first human milk bank was inaugurated at the Ernakulam General Hospital by Health Minister K.K. Shylaja. The facility will ensure breast milk for newborns who cannot be breastfed by their own mothers, who might be deceased, unwell or unable to produce sufficient milk.
PM to inaugurate World Sustainable Development Summit 2021
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the World Sustainable Development Summit 2021 on 10th of February at 6.30 P.M. via video conferencing. The theme of the summit is ‘Redefining Our Common Future: Safe and Secure Environment for All’. The 20th edition of The Energy and Resources Institute’s (TERI) flagship event- the World Sustainable Development Summit, will be held online from 10th to 12th February. The summit will bring together a wide number of governments, business leaders, academicians, climate scientists, youth and the civil society in the fight against climate change.
Rajya Sabha passes Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, 2021
Rajya Sabha passed The Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, 2021. It will replace Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Ordinance of 2021 which merged the Jammu and Kashmir cadre of the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Police Service, and Indian Forest Service with the Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram, and Union Territory cadre, also known as AGMUT cadre. The President had promulgated the ordinance last month to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019.
Hardeep Singh Puri introduces National Capital Territory of Delhi Laws (Special Provisions) Second (Amendment) Bill, 2021 in Rajya Sabha
Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri introduced the National Capital Territory of Delhi Laws (Special Provisions) Second (Amendment) Bill, 2021 in the Rajya Sabha. The Bill will replace the The National Capital Territory of Delhi Laws (Special Provisions) Second (Amendment) Ordinance, 2020 which was promulgated by President Ram Nath Kovind on 30th December 2020. It amends the National Capital Territory of Delhi Laws (Special Provisions) Second Act, 2011.
Centre allocates Rs 16,000 cr for PM Fasal Bima Yojana
Government has allocated 16,000 crore rupees for Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana for 2021-22 to boost the safety of farmers’ crops. Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Ministry said, this will ensure maximum benefit of crop insurance reaches to farmers. The Ministry said, this is a budgetary increase of around 305 crore rupees as against the previous fiscal year 2020-21, which reiterates the government’s commitment towards growth of agriculture sector in the country.
Centre proposes to provide 1000 crore rupees for welfare of tea workers of Assam
The Centre in its Union Budget for the next fiscal has proposed to provide one thousand crore rupees for the welfare of tea workers of Assam and West Bengal. The amount will be spent especially for the welfare of women and children associated with the tea gardens in these states.
South Korea to Build World’s Largest Offshore Wind Farm
President Moon Jae-in-led South Korea Government has approved a plan to build the world’s largest wind power plant in the country by 2030. The project will help to foster an environmentally-friendly recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and fasten the step to achieve the target of becoming carbon neutral by 2050. The estimated cost of the project is 48.5 trillion won ($43.2 billion). The Wind power Plant will be located in the southwestern coastal town of Sinan. It will have a maximum capacity of 8.2 gigawatts.
Federal Bank launches ‘FedFirst’ savings account scheme for children
Federal Bank has launched a special savings account scheme for children below the age of 18 years, called FedFirst. The account will develop among children a healthy saving and spending habits, and give them the freedom to save, spend and earn. The account comes with FedFirst contactless Debit Card with a daily cash withdrawal limit of Rs. 2,500.
RBI announces ₹20,000 crore worth of government bond purchase
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said it will purchase government securities worth ₹20,000 crore through open market operations (OMOs) to keep the yields in check so that the government borrowing programme goes through. The central bank will purchase long-term securities maturing in 2024, 2028, 2030 and 2034, according to an RBI notification. The bond market had been waiting for the OMO announcement ever since the government had announced, in the Union Budget, its intent to raise Rs12 trillion through borrowing programme for the next fiscal and an additional Rs80,000 crore for this year.
Nigeria’s Okonjo-Iweala set to become first female Chief of WTO
Nigerian economist Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has been chosen as the next Director General of the World Trade Organization (WTO). She would be the first woman as well as the first African national to lead the organization. Okonjo-Iweala, the former finance minister of Nigeria, will succeed Roberto Azevedo, who stepped down in August 2020.
Centre grants permission to BCCI to use drones for live aerial cinematography of India Cricket Season in 2021
Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) and Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) have granted conditional exemption to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the deployment of drones for live aerial cinematography of the India Cricket Season in 2021. The conditional exemption is valid till 31st of December 2021 from the date of issue of the letter or until the full operationalization of Digital Sky Platform-Phase-1.
India-US Joint Military Exercise ‘Yudh Abhyas’ begins in Rajasthan
The India-US Joint Military Exercise ‘YUDH ABHYAS’ commenced at Mahajan Field Firing Ranges in Rajasthan with unfurling of the National Flags of both the countries. 14-day exercise is focused upon joint training on Counter Insurgency and terrorism under the United Nation’s mandate. A number of aerial platforms including newly inducted indigenous Advance Light Helicopter WSI ‘RUDRA’, MI – 17, Chinooks, Stryker Vehicles of US Army and BMP-2 Mechanised Infantry Combat Vehicles of Indian Army, will be utilised in the exercise.
Former US Secretary of State George Shultz passed away
Former US Secretary of State, George Shultz who significantly shaped foreign policy in the late 20th Century, has died at the age of 100. He passed away at his home in California. He served three former Presidents – Dwight Eisenhower, Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan – in various roles.

पीएम मोदी ने असम के सोनितपुर जिले में असोम माला का शुभारंभ किया
प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने सोनितपुर जिले के ढेकियाजुली में om असोम माला ’कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ किया। पीएमओ के अनुसार, यह पहल राज्य के सड़क बुनियादी ढांचे को बढ़ावा देगी और असम की आर्थिक प्रगति और कनेक्टिविटी में सुधार में योगदान करेगी।
पूर्वी लद्दाख के पुगा गाँव में स्थापित होने वाली भारत की पहली भूतापीय विद्युत परियोजना
भारत का पहला भूतापीय विद्युत परियोजना पूर्वी लद्दाख के पुगा गाँव में स्थापित किया जाएगा। वैज्ञानिकों द्वारा देश में भूगर्भ ऊर्जा के हॉटस्पॉट के रूप में पुगा की पहचान की गई है। भारत का पहला भू-तापीय ऊर्जा परियोजना, जिसे भू-तापीय क्षेत्र विकास परियोजना के रूप में जाना जाता है, को 2022 के अंत तक चालू करने की योजना है। त्रिपक्षीय एमओयू पर ओएनजीसी ऊर्जा, एलएएचडीसी, लेह और यूटी लद्दाख के विद्युत विभाग के बीच हस्ताक्षर किए गए थे।
केरल को अपना पहला मानव दूध बैंक मिलेगा
राज्य के पहले मानव दूध बैंक का उद्घाटन एर्नाकुलम जनरल अस्पताल में स्वास्थ्य मंत्री के.के. शिलाजा। सुविधा नवजात शिशुओं के लिए स्तन का दूध सुनिश्चित करेगी जो अपनी माताओं द्वारा स्तनपान नहीं कर सकते हैं, जो मृत हो सकते हैं, अस्वस्थ हो सकते हैं या पर्याप्त दूध का उत्पादन करने में असमर्थ हो सकते हैं।
पीएम ने विश्व सतत विकास शिखर सम्मेलन 2021 का उद्घाटन किया
प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी 10 फरवरी को शाम 6.30 बजे विश्व सतत विकास शिखर सम्मेलन 2021 का उद्घाटन करेंगे। वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से। शिखर सम्मेलन का विषय: हमारे सामान्य भविष्य को पुनर्परिभाषित करना: सभी के लिए सुरक्षित और सुरक्षित वातावरण ’है। द एनर्जी एंड रिसोर्सेस इंस्टीट्यूट (टीईआरआई) की 20 वीं संस्करण की प्रमुख घटना- विश्व सतत विकास शिखर सम्मेलन, 10 से 12 फरवरी तक ऑनलाइन आयोजित किया जाएगा। शिखर सम्मेलन जलवायु परिवर्तन की लड़ाई में कई सरकारों, व्यापार नेताओं, शिक्षाविदों, जलवायु वैज्ञानिकों, युवाओं और नागरिक समाज को एक साथ लाएगा।

राज्य सभा ने जम्मू और कश्मीर पुनर्गठन (संशोधन) विधेयक, 2021 पारित किया। यह 2021 के जम्मू और कश्मीर पुनर्गठन (संशोधन) अध्यादेश का स्थान लेगा, जिसमें भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा, भारतीय पुलिस सेवा और भारतीय वन सेवा का जम्मू और कश्मीर कैडर मिला था। अरुणाचल प्रदेश, गोवा, मिजोरम और केंद्र शासित प्रदेश कैडर को एजीएमयूटी कैडर के रूप में भी जाना जाता है। राष्ट्रपति ने जम्मू-कश्मीर पुनर्गठन अधिनियम, 2019 में संशोधन करने के लिए पिछले महीने अध्यादेश को लागू किया था।
हरदीप सिंह पुरी ने राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र दिल्ली कानून (विशेष प्रावधान) दूसरा (संशोधन) विधेयक, 2021 राज्यसभा में पेश किया
आवास और शहरी मामलों के मंत्री हरदीप सिंह पुरी ने राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र दिल्ली कानून (विशेष प्रावधान) दूसरा (संशोधन) विधेयक, 2021 राज्यसभा में पेश किया। यह विधेयक द नेशनल कैपिटल टेरिटरी ऑफ़ डेल्ही लॉज़ (स्पेशल प्रोविजंस) सेकेंड (अमेंडमेंट) ऑर्डिनेंस, 2020 की जगह लेगा, जिसे 30 दिसंबर 2020 को राष्ट्रपति राम नाथ कोविंद द्वारा प्रख्यापित किया गया था। यह नेशनल लॉ कैपिटल ऑफ़ डेल्ही लॉज़ (स्पेशल प्रोविज़न्स) सेकंड को संशोधित करता है। अधिनियम, 2011।
केंद्र ने पीएम फसल बीमा योजना के लिए 16,000 करोड़ रुपये का आवंटन किया
सरकार ने किसानों की फसलों की सुरक्षा को बढ़ावा देने के लिए 2021-22 के लिए प्रधानमंत्री आवास बीमा योजना के लिए 16,000 करोड़ रुपये आवंटित किए हैं। कृषि और किसान कल्याण मंत्रालय ने कहा, इससे किसानों को फसल बीमा पहुंच का अधिकतम लाभ मिलेगा। मंत्रालय ने कहा, यह पिछले वित्त वर्ष 2020-21 के मुकाबले लगभग 305 करोड़ रुपये का बजटीय वृद्धि है, जो देश में कृषि क्षेत्र के विकास के प्रति सरकार की प्रतिबद्धता को दोहराता है।
केंद्र असम के चाय श्रमिकों के कल्याण के लिए 1000 करोड़ रुपये प्रदान करने का प्रस्ताव दिया
अगले वित्त वर्ष के लिए केंद्रीय बजट में केंद्र ने असम और पश्चिम बंगाल के चाय श्रमिकों के कल्याण के लिए एक हजार करोड़ रुपये प्रदान करने का प्रस्ताव दिया है। इन राज्यों में चाय बागानों से जुड़ी महिलाओं और बच्चों के कल्याण के लिए विशेष रूप से राशि खर्च की जाएगी।

राष्ट्रपति मून जे-इन की अगुवाई वाली दक्षिण कोरिया सरकार ने 2030 तक देश में दुनिया के सबसे बड़े पवन ऊर्जा संयंत्र के निर्माण की योजना को मंजूरी दे दी है। यह परियोजना COVID-19 महामारी से पर्यावरण के अनुकूल सुधार को बढ़ावा देने और कदम को तेज करने में मदद करेगी। 2050 तक कार्बन न्यूट्रल बनने के लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करें। परियोजना की अनुमानित लागत 48.5 ट्रिलियन जीत (43.2 बिलियन डॉलर) है। पवन ऊर्जा संयंत्र दक्षिण-पश्चिमी तटीय शहर सिनान में स्थित होगा। इसकी अधिकतम क्षमता 8.2 गीगावाट होगी।
फेडरल बैंक ने बच्चों के लिए ‘फेडफ़र्स्ट’ बचत खाता योजना शुरू की
फेडरल बैंक ने 18 साल से कम उम्र के बच्चों के लिए एक विशेष बचत खाता योजना शुरू की है, जिसे फेडफर्स्ट कहा जाता है। खाता बच्चों को स्वस्थ बचत और खर्च करने की आदतों के बीच विकसित करेगा, और उन्हें बचत, खर्च और कमाने की स्वतंत्रता देगा। खाता FedFirst के साथ संपर्क रहित डेबिट कार्ड के साथ आता है जिसमें दैनिक नकद निकासी रुपये की सीमा है। 2,500।

भारत-अमेरिका संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास YUDH ABHYAS राजस्थान में शुरू
राजस्थान में महाजन फील्ड फायरिंग रेंज में भारत-अमेरिका संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास ‘YUDH ABHYAS’ शुरू हुआ, जिसमें दोनों देशों के राष्ट्रीय ध्वज शामिल हैं। 14-दिन का अभ्यास संयुक्त राष्ट्र के जनादेश के तहत काउंटर इंसर्जेंसी और आतंकवाद पर संयुक्त प्रशिक्षण पर केंद्रित है। अभ्यास में नए शामिल स्वदेशी एडवांस लाइट हेलीकॉप्टर डब्ल्यूएसआई ’रुद्र’, एमआई – 17, चिनूक, यूएस आर्मी के स्ट्राइकर वाहन और भारतीय सेना के बीएमपी -2 मैकेनाइज्ड इन्फैंट्री कॉम्बैट व्हीकल सहित कई हवाई प्लेटफार्मों का उपयोग किया जाएगा।
अमेरिका के पूर्व विदेश मंत्री जॉर्ज शुल्ट्ज का निधन
पूर्व अमेरिकी विदेश मंत्री, जॉर्ज शुल्त्स जिन्होंने 20 वीं शताब्दी के उत्तरार्ध में विदेश नीति को महत्वपूर्ण रूप दिया, का 100 वर्ष की आयु में निधन हो गया। उनका कैलिफोर्निया में घर में निधन हो गया। उन्होंने तीन पूर्व राष्ट्रपतियों- ड्वाइट आइजनहावर, रिचर्ड निक्सन और रोनाल्ड रीगन की विभिन्न भूमिकाओं में सेवा की।
