Madhya Pradesh Government Organizes “Raag-Bhopali” Exhibition
The Madhya Pradesh Government is organizing a “Raag-Bhopali” exhibition to promote Bhopal’s Zari-Zardozi handicrafts. Embroidery done with metal thread is called kalabattu and forms zari. The main Zari production centre is in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Here, the metal ingots are melted into a metal rod called pasa, which is beaten to obtain a certain length after processing.

Dr Harsh Vardhan inaugurates India’s highest meteorological centre at Leh
Union Minister of Earth Sciences, Dr Harsh Vardhan inaugurated the meteorological centre (MC) of the India Meteorological Department at Leh in Ladakh via video conferencing. The centre would provide localised weather forecasts in the region, which would result in strengthening the weather-related early warning system for the region. The meteorological centre at Leh is the second MC located in the Himalayas. The first such facility is based in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.

Foundation Stone For TiHAN-IIT Hyderabad Was Laid
The Union Minister of Education virtually laid the foundation stone for “TiHAN-IIT Hyderabad”. This is India’s first testbed for Autonomous Navigation Systems (Terrestrial and Aerial). The TiHAN Foundation established at IIT Hyderabad is a multi-departmental project provided by researchers in the Electrical, Computer Science, Mechanical and Aerospace, Civil, Mathematics, and Design fields IIT Hyderabad with collaboration and support from reputed institutions and industry.

Govt. of India launched the Global Pravasi Rishta Portal and Mobile app
The Indian government launched the global Pravasi Rishta portal and mobile application. The application is designed to connect the Indian diaspora all over the world. The Global Pravasi Rishta portal and mobile application will help connect the 31.2 million Indian diasporas scattered worldwide.

Cabinet Approved MoU Between India And Bhutan on the peaceful use of outer space
The United Cabinet approved a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between India and Bhutan on the peaceful use of outer space. The two countries signed a memorandum of understanding on November 19, 2020. The agreement enables the two countries to seek cooperation in space science, navigation, planetary exploration, use of space systems, spacecraft and ground systems.

V K Yadav, Chairman , Railway Board, conferred on “Eminent Engineer Award”
V K Yadav, Chairman & CEO, Railway Board, Ministry of Railways, has been conferred on the prestigious “Eminent Engineer Award for the Year 2020’ by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) for his outstanding contribution towards modernisation and reforms over Indian Railways.

Harsh Vardhan nominated to the Board of ‘GAVI’, The Vaccine Alliance
Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan has been nominated as the board member of the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation (GAVI). The seat is currently held by Myint Htwe of Myanmar. Dr Vardhan will represent the South East Area Regional Office (SEARO)/ Western Pacific Regional Office (WPRO) constituency on the GAVI Board. Dr Vardhan will assume the charge with effect from January 1, 2021, and serve till December 31, 2023.

4 Chief Justices of High Courts transferred
The President of India in exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 222 of the Constitution of India, and after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, transferred the following Chief Justices of High Courts:

• Raghvendra Singh Chauhan, Chief Justice, from Telangana to Uttarakhand.
• Jitendra Kumar Maheshwari, Chief Justice from Andhra Pradesh to Sikkim.
• Mohammad Rafiq, Chief Justice, from Orissa to Madhya Pradesh.
• Arup Kumar Goswami, Chief Justice, from Sikkim to Andhra Pradesh.

Radio Waves Emission Detected From The Direction Of Proxima Centauri
Astronomers on the $100 million “Breakthrough Listening” project recently picked up radio waves emission from Proxima Centauri’s direction (the closest star to our Sun). Physicist Stephen Hawking initiated the Breakthrough Listen project.

BARC Developed Eye Cancer Therapy
The Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC) in Mumbai has developed the first indigenous Ruthenium 106 Plaque form of eye cancer therapy to treat Ocular Tumours. This is expected to reduce the cost of treatment of ocular tumors in the country. It is said that the newly developed plaque complies with international standards. Ocular Tumors: Ocular tumors are tumors inside the eye.

Karnataka council deputy chairman SL Dharme Gowda dead
The body of Karnataka Legislative Council deputy chairman S L Dharme Gowda was recovered from a railway track at Gunasagar village of Kadur Taluk in Chikmagalur district of the state.
