World Wildlife Day is observed on March 3
The World Wildlife Day is observed every year on March 3 to celebrate and raise awareness about the world’s wild fauna and flora. Theme for World Wildlife Day 2021 is “Forests and Livelihoods: Sustaining People and Planet”. The day was proposed by Thailand and recognised in 2013 by United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
World Hearing Day is observed on March 3
World Hearing Day is held on 3 March each year by World Health Organisation (WHO) to raise awareness on how to prevent deafness and hearing loss and promote ear and hearing care across the world. Theme of World Hearing Day 2021 is Hearing care for ALL!: Screen. Rehabilitate. Communicate.
National Safety Day is celebrated on March 4
The National Safety Day (NSD) is celebrated every year on March 4 by National Safety Council (NSC) of India. In 2021, we are observing the 50th NSD. The National Safety Day Theme 2021 is “Sadak Suraksha (Road Safety)”. Purpose of the day is to instill a sense of safety awareness among people by providing them with safety, health and environment related support services. The first National Safety Day was observed in 1972.
National Security Day is celebrated on March 4
In India, March 4 is celebrated as National Security Day (Rashtriya Suraksha Diwas) every year, in the honor of the Indian Security Forces. The day aims to show gratitude to all the security forces, including policemen, para-military forces, commandos, guards, army officers, and other persons involved in security, who sacrifice their life in maintaining the peace and security of the people of the country.
”Gharoki Pechan, Chelik Naam” Scheme launched in Nainital
In Uttarakhand, the Chief Minister, Shri Trivendra Singh Rawat has launched “Gharoki Paachan, Chelik Naam” (daughter”s name is a home”s identity) programme and development schemes. Initially, the scheme has been launched in Nainital and will be extended to entire Uttarakhand in the coming weeks. The government has allocated Rs 42 crore for this scheme. This scheme is in line with the effort of the state government towards promoting women empowerment.
Combined Commanders’ Conference to begin at Kevadiya in Gujarat
A three-day Combined Commanders’ Conference will begin at Kevadia in Gujarat. Theaterisation of armed forces, self-reliance in defence sector and evolving threats in the region will be the focus areas during the three-day annual event.
Mumbai’s CSMT becomes first railway station to get IGBC Gold Certification
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Railway Station of Central Railway is the first railway station in Maharashtra to be awarded with Gold certification as per CII’s Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) ratings. Central Railway has implemented various green initiatives across its zone, with plantation creating green areas, installation of solar panels, customer-friendly initiatives at many stations, LED bulbs and lights etc.
Nagaland launches its first air cargo services from Dimapur airport
Nagaland yesterday launched its first air cargo services from Dimapur airport. Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio officially flagged off the service, a joint initiative of Department of Horticulture, Nagaland and Airport Authority of India with Air India and Indigo as airline partners.

US imposes fresh sanctions against Russia over Navalny issue
The United States has slapped sanctions on Russian individuals and entities over the near-fatal poisoning of prominent opposition figure Alexei Navalny with a nerve agent. Speaking to reporters, the senior White House officials said the sanctions were being imposed in coordination with the European Union, and urged the release of Navalny from prison.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will receive the CERAWeek Global Energy and Environment Leadership Award. He will also deliver the keynote address at the Cambridge Energy Research Associates Week 2021 via video conferencing. CERAWeek was founded in 1983 by Dr. Daniel Yergin. The CERAWeek Global Energy and Environment Leadership Award was instituted in 2016.

Matam Venkata Rao has been sworn in as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of state-run of Central Bank of India. The appointment of Rao is effective from March 01, 2021, for a period of three years.

विश्व वन्यजीव दिवस को हर साल 3 मार्च को मनाया जाता है ताकि दुनिया के वन्य जीवों और वनस्पतियों के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाई जा सके। विश्व वन्यजीव दिवस 2021 के लिए थीम “वन और आजीविका: सतत लोग और ग्रह” है। दिन थाईलैंड द्वारा प्रस्तावित किया गया था और 2013 में संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा (UNGA) द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त थी।

राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा दिवस 4 मार्च को मनाया जाता है
भारत के राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा परिषद (NSC) द्वारा हर साल 4 मार्च को राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा दिवस (NSD) मनाया जाता है। 2021 में, हम 50 वें एनएसडी का अवलोकन कर रहे हैं। राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा दिवस का थीम 2021 “सुरक्षा (सड़क सुरक्षा)” है। दिन का उद्देश्य लोगों को सुरक्षा, स्वास्थ्य और पर्यावरण संबंधी सहायता सेवाएं प्रदान करके लोगों में सुरक्षा जागरूकता की भावना पैदा करना है। 1972 में पहला राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा दिवस मनाया गया।

नैनीताल में “घरोकी पिंच, चेलिक नाम” योजना शुरू की गई
उत्तराखंड में, मुख्यमंत्री श्री त्रिवेंद्र सिंह रावत ने “घरो पहचन, चेलिक नाम” (बेटी का नाम एक घर है पहचान) कार्यक्रम और विकास योजनाएँ शुरू की हैं। प्रारंभ में, यह योजना नैनीताल में शुरू की गई है और आने वाले हफ्तों में पूरे उत्तराखंड में विस्तारित की जाएगी। सरकार ने इस योजना के लिए 42 करोड़ रुपये आवंटित किए हैं। यह योजना महिला सशक्तीकरण को बढ़ावा देने की दिशा में राज्य सरकार के प्रयास के अनुरूप है।
गुजरात के केवडिया में शुरू होने वाला संयुक्त कमांडरों का सम्मेलन
गुजरात के केवडिया में तीन दिवसीय संयुक्त कमांडर्स सम्मेलन शुरू होगा। सशस्त्र बलों का रंगमंचीकरण, रक्षा क्षेत्र में आत्मनिर्भरता और क्षेत्र में विकसित होने वाले खतरे तीन दिवसीय वार्षिक आयोजन के दौरान फोकस क्षेत्र होंगे।
मुंबई का CSMT IGBC गोल्ड सर्टिफिकेशन पाने वाला पहला रेलवे स्टेशन बन गया
मध्य रेलवे का छत्रपति शिवाजी महाराज टर्मिनस रेलवे स्टेशन, महाराष्ट्र का पहला रेलवे स्टेशन है जिसे सीआईआई की भारतीय ग्रीन बिल्डिंग काउंसिल (आईजीबीसी) की रेटिंग के अनुसार गोल्ड प्रमाणन से सम्मानित किया गया है। मध्य रेलवे ने अपने क्षेत्र में विभिन्न हरित पहलों को लागू किया है, जिसमें वृक्षारोपण, हरित क्षेत्र बनाने, सौर पैनलों की स्थापना, कई स्टेशनों पर ग्राहक-अनुकूल पहल, एलईडी बल्ब और रोशनी आदि शामिल हैं।
नागालैंड ने दीमापुर हवाई अड्डे से अपनी पहली एयर कार्गो सेवा शुरू की
नागालैंड ने कल दीमापुर हवाई अड्डे से अपनी पहली एयर कार्गो सेवा शुरू की। मुख्यमंत्री नीफिउ रियो ने आधिकारिक तौर पर इस सेवा को हरी झंडी दिखा दी, जो कि एयर इंडिया और इंडिगो के साथ बागवानी विभाग, नागालैंड और एयरपोर्ट अथॉरिटी ऑफ इंडिया की एक संयुक्त पहल है।
डीडीसी पुलवामा ने एनआरएलएम द्वारा आयोजित कारीगर मेला का उद्घाटन किया
केंद्र शासित प्रदेश जम्मू और कश्मीर में, जिला विकास आयुक्त (डीडीसी) पुलवामा, डॉ। राघव लंगर ने आज पुलवामा के सरकारी डिग्री कॉलेज में राष्ट्रीय ग्रामीण आजीविका मिशन (एनआरएलएम) द्वारा आयोजित एक कारीगर मेला का उद्घाटन किया। डीडीसी ने इस क्षेत्र से रोजगार के रास्ते निकालने के लिए पारंपरिक कला को जीवित रखने के लिए कारीगरों और स्वयं सहायता समूहों (एसएचजी) की भूमिका की सराहना की।

माटम वेंकट राव सेंट्रल बैंक ऑफ इंडिया के एमडी और सीईओ के रूप में कार्यभार संभाला
माटम वेंकट राव को नए प्रबंध निदेशक और मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी के रूप में शपथ दिलाई गई है जो सेंट्रल बैंक ऑफ़ इंडिया के राज्य-संचालन के लिए है। राव की नियुक्ति 01 मार्च, 2021 से तीन साल की अवधि के लिए प्रभावी है।
