Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (Independent charge) Mansukh Mandaviya launched a new cruise service connecting Hazira port in Surat and Diu Island. He flagged off this service virtually via video conference. A cruise ship will leave Hazira every Monday and Wednesday and reach Diu -next day in the morning. Return journey will take place on the same day in the evening from Diu and end at Hazira- next day in the morning. One side journey will take 13 to 14 hours time.

Cabinet approves investment of Rs 10,900 crore in food processing industry under PLI scheme
The cabinet has approved an investment of Rs 10,900 crore in the food processing industry under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme. The objective of Production Linked Incentive Scheme for Food Processing Industry (PLISFPI) is to support creation of global food manufacturing champions commensurate with India’s natural resource endowment and support Indian brands of food products in the international markets.

India and Tajikistan agree to further enhance economic partnership during talks on bilateral cooperation in Dushanbe
External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar held talks with his Tajik counterpart Sirojiddin Muhriddin in Dushanbe on all aspects of the bilateral agenda, including development cooperation. They also exchanged views on regional and international issues of interest. Both leaders agreed to focus on further enhancing the economic partnership.

Japan and Indonesia have signed a deal enabling exports of Japanese made defence equipment to the Southeast Asian country. The agreement on the transfer of defence equipment and technology was signed in Tokyo yesterday to boost cooperation between the two countries. It came after the foreign and defence ministers of Japan and Indonesia met in Tokyo.

RBI lowers base rate by 15 basis points at 7.81 %
Reserve bank of India lowers the base rate to 7.81 per cent. It is lower by 15 basis points (0.15 %) as compared to the current quarter. Last year it was 8.76 during the same period. RBI advises interest rates to be charged by NBFC-MFIs to their borrowers in the ensuing quarter. It is based on the average of the base rates of the five largest commercial banks.

RBI extends deadline to process recurring online transactions with AFA to 30th September 2021
The Reserve Bank of India extended the deadline to process recurring online transactions with additional factor of authentication, AFA, to 30th September of this year. The RBI said, to prevent any inconvenience to the customers, it has decided to extend the timeline for the stakeholders to migrate to the framework by six months. The framework regarding it mandated the use of AFA during registration and first transaction, with relaxation for subsequent transactions up to a limit of Rs 5,000.

World Bank predicts India’s real GDP growth for fiscal year 2021-22 to range from 7.5 to 12.5 %
The World Bank has raised Indian GDP growth prediction for 2021-22 fiscal to 10.1 per cent from 5.4 per cent projected in January. The international bank said, given the significant uncertainty amid Covid-19 effects on the economy, the real India GDP growth could be in the range from 7.5 per cent to 12.5 per cent.

Uttarakhand Ranger Mahinder Giri Wins International Ranger Award 2021
Mahinder Giri, a range officer at Rajaji Tiger Reserve in Uttarakhand has been honored with the prestigious International Ranger Award for his contribution towards conservation. He is the only ranger from Asia to win the prize. All the winners will receive a uniform patch and their employing organisations will receive US $10,000 (Rs 7,26,150) as prize money, which can be used to support the winner and their team to conduct their work. International Ranger Award was created in 2020 through a collaboration between the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) – World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA), the International Ranger Federation, Global Wildlife Conservation, and Conservation Allies.

Indian Navy to take part in French Naval Exercise in Bay of Bengal along with other QUAD member countries
India will participate in France-led naval drill La Perouse for the first time in the Bay of Bengal next month. Australia, Japan and the US will also participate in La Perouse, but India’s first-ever participation is seen as a significant step. The exercise is scheduled between April 5 and 7. After La Perouse, another important naval exercise, the India-French Varuna exercise, will also take place. This time, it will also include the United Arab Emirates.

अंतर्राष्ट्रीय ट्रांसजेंडर दिवस की दृश्यता 31 मार्च को मनाई जाती है

केंद्रीय बंदरगाह, नौवहन और जलमार्ग मंत्री (स्वतंत्र प्रभार) मनसुख मंडाविया ने सूरत और दीव द्वीप में हजीरा बंदरगाह को जोड़ने वाली एक नई क्रूज सेवा शुरू की। उन्होंने वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंस के जरिए इस सेवा को हरी झंडी दिखाई। एक क्रूज जहाज हर सोमवार और बुधवार को हजीरा से रवाना होगा और सुबह दीव-सड़क पर पहुंचेगा। वापसी की यात्रा उसी दिन शाम को दीव से होगी और अगले दिन सुबह हजीरा में समाप्त होगी। एक तरफ की यात्रा में 13 से 14 घंटे का समय लगेगा।

कैबिनेट ने PLI योजना के तहत खाद्य प्रसंस्करण उद्योग में 10,900 करोड़ रुपये के निवेश को मंजूरी दी
कैबिनेट ने प्रोडक्शन लिंक्ड इंसेंटिव (पीएलआई) योजना के तहत खाद्य प्रसंस्करण उद्योग में 10,900 करोड़ रुपये के निवेश को मंजूरी दी है। फूड प्रोसेसिंग इंडस्ट्री (PLISFPI) के लिए उत्पादन लिंक्ड इंसेंटिव स्कीम का उद्देश्य भारत के प्राकृतिक संसाधन बंदोबस्त के साथ वैश्विक खाद्य विनिर्माण चैंपियन के निर्माण का समर्थन करना और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बाजारों में भारतीय खाद्य उत्पादों के समर्थन का समर्थन करना है।

भारत और ताजिकिस्तान दुशांबे में द्विपक्षीय सहयोग पर वार्ता के दौरान आर्थिक साझेदारी को और बढ़ाने पर सहमत हैं
विदेश मंत्री डॉ। एस जयशंकर ने विकास सहयोग सहित द्विपक्षीय एजेंडा के सभी पहलुओं पर दुशांबे में अपने ताजिक समकक्ष सिरोजिद्दीन मुहरिद्दीन के साथ बातचीत की। उन्होंने ब्याज के क्षेत्रीय और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मुद्दों पर विचारों का आदान-प्रदान भी किया। दोनों नेता आर्थिक साझेदारी को और बढ़ाने पर ध्यान केंद्रित करने पर सहमत हुए।

जापान और इंडोनेशिया ने दक्षिण पूर्व एशियाई देश के लिए रक्षा उपकरणों के निर्यात को सक्षम करने के लिए हस्ताक्षर किए
जापान और इंडोनेशिया ने दक्षिण पूर्व एशियाई देश को जापानी निर्मित रक्षा उपकरणों के निर्यात को सक्षम करने वाले एक समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। दोनों देशों के बीच सहयोग को बढ़ावा देने के लिए कल टोक्यो में रक्षा उपकरणों और प्रौद्योगिकी के हस्तांतरण पर समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए गए। यह जापान और इंडोनेशिया के विदेश और रक्षा मंत्रियों के टोक्यो में मुलाकात के बाद आया।

आरबीआई ने बेस रेट 15 बेसिस पॉइंट्स घटाकर 7.81% कर दिया
भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक बेस रेट को घटाकर 7.81 फीसदी कर देता है। मौजूदा तिमाही की तुलना में यह 15 आधार अंक (0.15%) कम है। पिछले साल यह इसी अवधि के दौरान 8.76 थी। RBI ब्याज दरों को एनबीएफसी-एमएफआई द्वारा आगामी तिमाही में अपने उधारकर्ताओं को वसूलने की सलाह देता है। यह पांच सबसे बड़े वाणिज्यिक बैंकों की आधार दरों के औसत पर आधारित है।

RBI 30 सितंबर 2021 तक AFA के साथ ऑनलाइन लेनदेन की प्रक्रिया की समय सीमा बढ़ाता है
भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक ने इस वर्ष के 30 सितंबर तक प्रमाणीकरण, एएफए के अतिरिक्त कारक के साथ ऑनलाइन लेनदेन की प्रक्रिया की समय सीमा बढ़ा दी। आरबीआई ने कहा, ग्राहकों को किसी भी असुविधा को रोकने के लिए, उसने हितधारकों के लिए समयसीमा को छह महीने के लिए प्रवास करने के लिए विस्तारित करने का निर्णय लिया है। इसके संबंध में फ्रेमवर्क ने पंजीकरण और पहले लेनदेन के दौरान AFA के उपयोग को अनिवार्य कर दिया, साथ ही बाद में लेनदेन के लिए 5,000 रुपये की सीमा तक छूट दी गई।

विश्व बैंक ने वित्त वर्ष 2021-22 के लिए भारत की वास्तविक जीडीपी वृद्धि 7.5 से 12.5 प्रतिशत तक की है
विश्व बैंक ने जनवरी में अनुमानित अनुमानित 5.4 प्रतिशत से 2021-22 राजकोषीय से 10.1 प्रतिशत के लिए भारतीय जीडीपी वृद्धि की भविष्यवाणी की है। अंतरराष्ट्रीय बैंक ने कहा, कोविद -19 के अर्थव्यवस्था पर पड़ने वाले प्रभाव के बीच महत्वपूर्ण अनिश्चितता को देखते हुए, वास्तविक भारत की जीडीपी वृद्धि 7.5 प्रतिशत से 12.5 प्रतिशत तक हो सकती है।
