Odisha launches initiative to make state slum-free in 3 years
Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik today launched a slum upgradation programme to make the state slum-free in three years. The programme, aimed to improve the living conditions of the slum dwellers by providing them with basic necessities like piped water, electricity, paved roads and recreational space, will start immediately in 1000 slums to be extended to about 3,000 slums across the state in 3 years.

Odisha Govt to launch Radio Pathshala program for students upto class 8
In view of the prevailing pandemic, Odisha Government is launching Radio Pathshala program for students upto class 8 from today. The program will be broadcast from All India Radio stations in the state for 15 minutes daily. More than ten Akshvani Kendras in the state will carry the classes between 10 to 1015 hours daily from Monday to Friday.

PM Modi to inaugurate six mega projects under Namami Gange Mission in Uttarakhand
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate six mega projects in Uttarakhand under the Namami Gange Mission through video conference. The projects include construction of a 68 million liters per day or MLD Sewage Treatment Plant, upgradation of the existing 27 MLD at Jagjeetpur and construction of an 18 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant at Sarai, in Haridwar. The inauguration of 68 MLD Jagjeetpur project also marks completion of the first sewage treatment project taken up on hybrid annuity mode of Public Private Partnership.

He fought against British rule for the country’s independence and was hanged in Lahore jail at the age of 23, along with Rajguru and Sukhdev.

Govt launches portal for updates, developments on Covid-19 vaccine
In a bid to make transparent information readily available for Covid-19 vaccine development, the government on Monday launched the Vaccine Portal and National Clinical Registry for coronavirus. The portal provides useful and important information related to vaccine development, ongoing clinical trials and progress made in this area locally and globally at regular intervals, says health minister Harsh Vardhan.

Indian economy to contract 11% in FY21, says Icra
Domestic rating agency Icra further revised down its GDP estimate for the country on Monday and now expects the Indian economy to contract by 11% in FY21. The agency, which was earlier estimating a contraction of 9.5%, said the revision has been done as the rate of new COVID-19 infections remains elevated.

Paytm Money launches stock trading, charges ₹10 for intraday trades
Paytm Money has opened stockbroking access for everyone in the country with an aim to onboard over 10 lakh investors this fiscal with the majority of them as first-time users from small cities and towns. As part of its early access program, the stockbroking services were then available for a few android users. The cash delivery trades are free on the app, and it charges only ₹10 for intraday trades.
