Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Technologies Park (ARTPARK) set up in Bengaluru
The Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Technologies Park (ARTPARK) set up in Bengaluru will promote technology innovations in niche areas by executing ambitious projects in various sectors by focusing on problems unique to India. With seed funding of ₹170 crore from the Department of Science and Technology (DST) under the National Mission on Inter-disciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems, it will bring about collaborative consortium of partners from industry, academia and govt bodies.

First cow hospital of Northeast inaugurated in Assam’s Dibrugarh
A cow shelter in Assam’s Dibrugarh inaugurated Northeast’s first-ever cow hospital on Sunday, on the occasion of Gopashtami. The hospital, Surbhi Aarogyashala, is set up by Shree Gopal Gaushala at a cost of ₹17 lakh.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will distribute bank loans worth Rs 150 crore to the members of self-help groups formed under the State Rural Livelihood Mission in order of self-reliant Madhya Pradesh. The target of annual bank loan disbursement to the groups has been increased to 1400 crores.

India – Singapore Bilateral Maritime Exercise SIMBEX-20 to begin in Andaman Sea
Indian Navy is scheduled to host the 27th edition of India – Singapore Bilateral Maritime Exercise SIMBEX-20 in Andaman Sea. It will continue till 25th of this month. The SIMBEX series of exercises between Indian Navy and Republic of Singapore Navy being conducted annually since 1994, are aimed at enhancing mutual inter-operability and imbibing best practices from each other.

Google has launched a new application called Task Mate in India. Through the new application, the company will provide small random tasks to users and once the task is complete, the application will pay a certain amount to the user. Tarun Gogoi, Assam’s longest serving chief minister, passes away
Tarun Gogoi, the longest serving chief minister of Assam passed away due to prolonged illness. He was 86. Gogoi first entered Parliament at the age of 35 in 1971 under the leadership of then prime minister Indira Gandhi. Even before becoming a Member of Parliament (MP) from Jorhat, Gogoi was elected in the Municipal Board of Jorhat in 1968. In his five-decade long career in politics, Gogoi had also worked closely with PV Narasimha Rao as union minister of state in the ministry of Food and Food Processing Industry where he served from 1991-1996.
