International Human Solidarity Day (Third Sunday of December)
International Human Solidarity Day is observed on 20 December. The day is especially reminded to celebrate unity in diversity, to remind governments to respect their commitments to international agreements, and to encourage debate on ways to promote solidarity for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals to encourage new initiatives for poverty eradication.

Defence minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the advanced Hypersonic Wind Tunnel test facility in Hyderabad. The state-of-the-art facility is pressure vaccum driven enclosed free jet facility with nozzle exit of one-meter diameter. With this India has become the third country to have such a huge facility in size and capability after America and Russia.

Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda inaugurated Two Tribes India showrooms (Kolkata in person and Gwalior virtually) in a grand opening ceremony in Kolkata.
Madhya Pradesh CM to distribute interest-free loans of Rs 10,000 each to street vendors
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will distribute an interest-free loan of 10 thousand rupees each under the Chief Minister Rural street Vendor Scheme to about 20 thousand street vendors. Chief Minister Rural street Vendor Scheme has been implemented on the line of Pradhan Mantri urban street vendor scheme- PM Swanidhi in the rural areas of the state. Under the Chief Minister rural street vendor scheme, small vendors including fruits-vegetables sellers, carpenters, potters, weavers, washer men are given an interest free loan of Rs 10 thousand each for their work.
UP Govt launches ‘Varasat’ campaign to curb property & land-related disputes in rural areas
The Uttar Pradesh state government has launched special campaign to curb property & land-related disputes in rural areas. This is a first of its kind campaign to end the nagging land-related issues in the rural areas. It is aimed at eradicating the exploitation of the villagers in the name of ‘Varasat’ of land and property.

Ministry of Tourism organised the domestic tourism road show in Goa through its IndisTourism office in Goa . This event was organised in collaboration with Goa Tourism and Travel and Tourism Association of Goa (TTAG).
Last date for submission of life certificate for pensioners extended till Feb 28
As a major relief to senior citizens, the life certificate submission date has been extended for pensioners upto February 28 next year. Minister of personnel Dr Jitendra Singh informed this.

Govt approves inclusion of four indigenous sports in Khelo India Youth Games 2021
The Sports Ministry has approved the inclusion of four indigenous Games to be a part of Khelo India Youth Games 2021, scheduled to take place in Haryana. The games include, Gatka, Kalaripayattu, Thang-Ta and Mallakhamba. The four selected games represent different parts of the country. Kalaripayattu has its origin from Kerala. Mallakhamba has been well-known across India and Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra have been the hotspots of this sport. Gatka originates from Punjab. Thang-Ta originates from Manipur.
RSS ideologue MG Vaidya passes away
RSS ideologue and senior journalist, Madhav Govind Vaidya died at a private Hospital in Nagpur. He was 97 year old.
