NITI Aayog released a white paper Vision 2035 – Public Health Surveillance in India. The white paper lays out India’s vision for public health surveillance through the integration of the three-tiered public health system into Ayushman Bharat. It also spells out the need for expanded referral networks and enhanced laboratory capacity. The building blocks for this vision are an interdependent federated system of governance between the Centre and states.

Uday Shankar takes over as FICCI President
Uday Shankar, President of the Walt Disney Company, has taken over as FICCI President for 2020-21 from Sangita Reddy at the apex chamber’s 93rd annual convention. Sanjiv Mehta, Chairman and Managing Director of Hindustan Unilever, has been elevated as Senior Vice President of FICCI. Subhrakant Panda, Managing Director of Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys Ltd, has joined the FICCI leadership as Vice President.

IIM Ahmedabad Endowment Fund appoints Chhavi Moodgal as CEO
Chhavi Moodgal, an alumna of Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, has been named as the first CEO of the recently set up IIMA Endowment Fund. The fund was launched in June 2020 to facilitate IIMA in achieving its strategic objectives and making a larger impact in the field of education, entrepreneurial leadership, management practice, and public policy.

HDFC Bank names Sanmoy Chakrabarti as Chief Risk Officer
HDFC Bank named Sanmoy Chakrabarti as the Chief Risk Officer for a period of 3 years starting today, the company announced in a regulatory filing. Chakrabarti will replace Jimmy Tata as the CRO. Tata shall take on the new role of the Chief Credit Officer of the Bank, it stated.
