The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) is celebrating its 45th Raising Day on 01 February 2021. The ICG was formally established on February 1, 1977, by the Coast Guard Act, 1978 of the Parliament of India. It operates under the Ministry of Defence.
World Wetlands Day is observed on 02 February
The World Wetlands Day is observed every year on February 2 globally. The day is celebrated to mark the date of the adoption of the Convention on Wetlands on February 2, 1971, in the Iranian city of Ramsar on the shores of the Caspian Sea. World Wetlands Day was first celebrated in 1997. 2021 marks 50 years of the Convention on Wetlands. The international theme for World Wetlands Day 2021 is ‘Wetlands and Water’.
Biggest Aero show of Asia to begin in Bengaluru
Asia’s biggest Aero show will kickstart in Bengaluru. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate the three-days mega Aero India show i.e. taking place for the first time in a hybrid mode due to COVID Pandemic. For the first time Defence Ministers of Indian Ocean region from 27 countries will participate in person or through virtual mode in a conclave organised on the sidelines to discuss shared threats and cooperation in disaster management.
Varanasi receives second cruise boat under PRASAD scheme
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parliamentary constituency, Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, received the second cruise boat under the Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Augmentation Drive (PRASAD) scheme of the Central Government. This two-tier cruise boat will run in waters of Ganga river and show the tourists the spectacular view of 84 ghats of Kashi. State tourism Minister Neelkanth Tiwari received the cruise at Ravidas Ghat. He said that it will help in promoting the tourism sector of the city.
Uttarakhand sets up Botanical Garden to conserve 210 species of trees of Shivalik range
In Nainital district of Uttarakhand, a first of its kind botanical garden named ‘Shivalik Arboretum’ has been inaugurated, for conserving over 210 species of trees found in the Shivalik range of Himalayas. Shivalik Arboretum aims to spread nature education among people so that they are able to feel an emotional connect with the trees, and make them more active towards conservation.
Maharashtra tops 2nd India Justice Report for delivering justice to people
Maharashtra has retained its top rank in the second edition of the India Justice Report – 2020, which judges states in terms of delivery of justice to people. Maharashtra retained its number one position among 18 large and mid -sized states (where population is over one crore each). Tamil Nadu and Telangana were second and third respectively in the same category. Among the 7 small states (where the population is less than one crore each), Tripura has topped the list followed by Sikkim and Goa.
Prime Minister to inaugurate Chauri Chaura Centenary Celebrations
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Chauri Chaura Centenary Celebrations at Chauri Chaura, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh on Thursday through video conferencing. The day marks 100 years of the Chauri Chaura incident, a landmark event in the country’s fight for independence. The Prime Minister will also release a postal stamp dedicated to the Chauri Chaura centenary during the event. Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath will also be present on the occasion. The centenary celebrations and various events planned by the State government will begin in all 75 districts of the State from Thursday and will continue till 4th February 2022.

Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ addressed the inaugural ceremony of the ASEAN India Hackathon. He said this Hackathon will provide a unique opportunity to India and ASEAN broad themes of “Blue Economy” and “Education”. ASEAN-INDIA Hackathon is an initiative taken by the Ministry of Education. The ASEAN India Hackathon is being organized online from 1st -3rd February 2021 and prize distribution will take place on 4th February 2021. This unique hackathon offers opportunities for all the 10 ASEAN countries and India to forward their economic and cultural ties through collaboration in education, science and technology.
Textile Minister Smriti Irani inaugurates 8th India International Silk Fair
The Union Textiles Minister Smriti Irani inaugurated the 8th India International Silk Fair on Virtual Portal on 31st January 2021. The five days event is being held on Indian Silk Export Promotion Council’s virtual platform due to COVID-19 pandemic. The fair is considered to be India’s biggest silk fair.
World Bank to provide USD 500 million to Bangladesh for improving Road and Digital Connectivity
The government of Bangladesh signed an agreement with the World Bank for the upgradation of rural roads and connectivity in the western region on Monday. The project is expected to benefit over 20 million people in the western region of Bangladesh. The project will help upgrade the 48 kilometre two-lane Jashore-Jhenaidah road to a modern 4-lane highway. It will also help improve 600 kilometre of connecting rural roads and build or develop new rural markets. The project will finance installation of fiber-optic cables along the highway to ensure fast and reliable internet service, said the World Bank Press release.
Nguyen Phu Trong re-elected as Chief of ruling Communist Party of Vietnam for 3rd term
The ruling Community Party of Vietnam has re-elected its 76-year-old General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong for a third five-year term. He is serving the post since 2011. Trong was granted an exemption to contest in the election, though he was above the age limit of 65.
Fiscal deficit pegged at 6.8 per cent of GDP
The Fiscal deficit for the financial year 2021-22 pegged at 6.8 percent. The Total resources being transferred to the states including the devolution of states share, grants, loans and releases under centrally sponsored scheme in budget estimate for the fiscal is 13 lakh 88 thousand 502 crore rupees which shows an increase of 74 thousand 565 crores over revised estimate of 2020-21.
NBCFDC signs MoU with Apollo Medskills Pvt Ltd for providing COVID Vaccine Administration training
The National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation (NBCFDC) has signed an MoU with Apollo Medskills Private Ltd for providing COVID Vaccination Administration training to Nurses, Medical and Nursing students and Pharmacists belonging to its target group on a co-funding basis.
Lt General Chandi Prasad Mohanty takes charge as Vice Chief of Army Staff
Lieutenant General Chandi Prasad Mohanty today took over as the Vice Chief of the Army Staff . An alumnus of Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun, National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla and Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Lt Gen CP Mohanty was commissioned into the Rajput Regiment in 1982. NASA appoints Indian-American scientist Bhavya Lal as acting chief of staff
Indian-American Bhavya Lal was appointed by NASA as the acting chief of staff of the US space agency yesterday. In a statement, NASA said Lal brings extensive experience in engineering and space technology, serving as a member of the research staff at the Institute for Defence Analyses Science and Technology Policy Institute (STPI) from 2005 to 2020.

Tamil Nadu beat Baroda by 7 wickets to lift second Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy
Tamil Nadu lifted the coveted Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy after defeating Baroda by seven wickets in the final at the Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad. This was Tamil Nadu’s second Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) triumph, after winning their first title way back in 2006-07. Baroda, who had won the title twice in the past (in 2011-12 and 2013-14), ended runners-up this time. It was a clinical campaign for Tamil Nadu who remained unbeaten throughout the league. Chasing 121 to win, they overhauled the target in 18 overs with 7 wickets to spare.

भारतीय तटरक्षक बल (ICG) 01 फरवरी 2021 को अपना 45 वां स्थापना दिवस मना रहा है। ICG को औपचारिक रूप से 1 फरवरी, 1977 को भारत की संसद के तटरक्षक अधिनियम, 1978 द्वारा स्थापित किया गया था। यह रक्षा मंत्रालय के तहत काम करता है।
02 फरवरी को विश्व आर्द्रभूमि दिवस मनाया जाता है
विश्व वेटलैंड्स दिवस हर साल 2 फरवरी को विश्व स्तर पर मनाया जाता है। यह दिन 2 फरवरी, 1971 को ईरानी शहर रामसर में कैस्पियन सागर के तट पर वेटलैंड्स में कन्वेंशन की गोद लेने की तारीख को चिह्नित करने के लिए मनाया जाता है। वर्ल्ड वेटलैंड्स डे पहली बार 1997 में मनाया गया था। 2021 में वेटलैंड्स पर कन्वेंशन के 50 साल पूरे हुए। वर्ल्ड वेटलैंड्स डे 2021 का अंतर्राष्ट्रीय विषय ‘वेटलैंड्स एंड वॉटर’ है।
बेंगलुरु में शुरू होने वाला एशिया का सबसे बड़ा एयरो शो
एशिया का सबसे बड़ा एयरो शो बेंगलुरु में किकस्टार्ट करेगा। रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह COVID महामारी के कारण तीन दिनों के मेगा एयरो इंडिया शो यानि पहली बार हाइब्रिड मोड में उद्घाटन करेंगे। पहली बार 27 देशों के हिंद महासागर क्षेत्र के रक्षा मंत्री व्यक्तिगत रूप से या आपदा प्रबंधन में साझा खतरों और सहयोग पर चर्चा के लिए आयोजित एक सम्मेलन में व्यक्ति या आभासी मोड के माध्यम से भाग लेंगे।
PRASAD योजना के तहत वाराणसी को दूसरी क्रूज नाव मिलती है
उत्तर प्रदेश के प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के संसदीय क्षेत्र, वाराणसी को केंद्र सरकार की तीर्थयात्रा कायाकल्प और आध्यात्मिक संवर्धन ड्राइव (PRASAD) योजना के तहत दूसरी क्रूज नाव मिली। यह दो स्तरीय क्रूज़ नाव गंगा नदी के पानी में चलेगी और पर्यटकों को काशी के 84 घाटों के शानदार दृश्य दिखाएगी। राज्य के पर्यटन मंत्री नीलकंठ तिवारी ने रविदास घाट पर क्रूज की अगवानी की। उन्होंने कहा कि इससे शहर के पर्यटन क्षेत्र को बढ़ावा देने में मदद मिलेगी।
उत्तराखंड ने शिवालिक श्रेणी के वृक्षों की 210 प्रजातियों के संरक्षण के लिए बॉटनिकल गार्डन की स्थापना की है
उत्तराखंड के नैनीताल जिले में, हिमालय के शिवालिक रेंज में पाए जाने वाले वृक्षों की 210 से अधिक प्रजातियों के संरक्षण के लिए, ‘शिवालिक आर्बोरेटम’ नाम के पहले प्रकार के वनस्पति उद्यान का उद्घाटन किया गया है। शिवालिक आर्बोरेटम का उद्देश्य लोगों में प्रकृति शिक्षा का प्रसार करना है ताकि वे पेड़ों के साथ भावनात्मक जुड़ाव महसूस कर सकें, और उन्हें संरक्षण की दिशा में अधिक सक्रिय बना सकें।

महाराष्ट्र ने भारत के न्याय रिपोर्ट – 2020 के दूसरे संस्करण में अपनी सर्वोच्च रैंक बरकरार रखी है, जो लोगों को न्याय प्रदान करने के मामले में राज्यों का न्याय करता है। महाराष्ट्र ने 18 बड़े और मध्यम आकार के राज्यों (जहां आबादी एक करोड़ से अधिक है) के बीच अपना नंबर एक स्थान बनाए रखा। तमिलनाडु और तेलंगाना एक ही श्रेणी में क्रमशः दूसरे और तीसरे स्थान पर थे। 7 छोटे राज्यों (जहाँ जनसंख्या एक करोड़ से कम है) के बीच, त्रिपुरा ने सिक्किम और गोवा के बाद सूची में सबसे ऊपर है।
प्रधानमंत्री चौरी चौरा शताब्दी समारोह का उद्घाटन करेंगे
प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के जरिए गुरुवार को उत्तर प्रदेश के गोरखपुर के चौरी चौरा में चौरी चौरा शताब्दी समारोह का उद्घाटन करेंगे। दिन चौरी चौरा की घटना के 100 साल पूरे होने पर, देश की आजादी की लड़ाई की एक ऐतिहासिक घटना है। प्रधानमंत्री आयोजन के दौरान चौरी चौरा शताब्दी के लिए समर्पित डाक टिकट भी जारी करेंगे। उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ भी इस अवसर पर उपस्थित रहेंगे। राज्य सरकार द्वारा नियोजित शताब्दी समारोह और विभिन्न कार्यक्रम राज्य के सभी 75 जिलों में गुरुवार से शुरू होंगे और यह 4 जून 2022 तक जारी रहेगा।

कपड़ा मंत्री स्मृति ईरानी 8 वें भारत अंतर्राष्ट्रीय रेशम मेले का उद्घाटन किया
केंद्रीय कपड़ा मंत्री स्मृति ईरानी ने 31 वें जनवरी 2021 को वर्चुअल पोर्टल पर 8 वें भारत अंतर्राष्ट्रीय रेशम मेले का उद्घाटन किया। COVID-19 महामारी के कारण भारतीय रेशम निर्यात संवर्धन परिषद के आभासी मंच पर पांच दिवसीय कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया जा रहा है। इस मेले को भारत का सबसे बड़ा रेशम मेला माना जाता है।
विश्व बैंक ने सड़क और डिजिटल कनेक्टिविटी में सुधार के लिए बांग्लादेश को 500 मिलियन अमरीकी डालर प्रदान करने के लिए एक समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए
बांग्लादेश सरकार ने पश्चिमी क्षेत्र में ग्रामीण सड़कों के उन्नयन और कनेक्टिविटी के लिए विश्व बैंक के साथ एक समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए। परियोजना से बांग्लादेश के पश्चिमी क्षेत्र में 20 मिलियन से अधिक लोगों को लाभ होने की उम्मीद है। यह परियोजना 48 किलोमीटर के दो लेन के जशोर-झीनैदह मार्ग को आधुनिक 4-लेन राजमार्ग में अपग्रेड करने में मदद करेगी। यह ग्रामीण सड़कों को जोड़ने और नए ग्रामीण बाजारों को बनाने या विकसित करने के 600 किलोमीटर को बेहतर बनाने में भी मदद करेगा। विश्व बैंक प्रेस विज्ञप्ति में कहा गया है कि यह परियोजना हाई-फाई और विश्वसनीय इंटरनेट सेवा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए राजमार्ग के साथ फाइबर-ऑप्टिक केबलों की स्थापना को वित्तपोषित करेगी।

वियतनाम की सत्तारूढ़ कम्युनिटी पार्टी ने अपने 76 वर्षीय महासचिव गुयेन फु ट्रोंग को तीसरे पाँच साल के कार्यकाल के लिए फिर से चुना है। वह 2011 से इस पद की सेवा कर रहे हैं। ट्रोंग को चुनाव लड़ने की छूट दी गई थी, हालांकि वह 65 की आयु सीमा से ऊपर थे।
