Election Commission of India is celebrating 11th National Voters Day on 25th January 2021.

Honourable President of India, Sri Ram Nath Kovind will be the Chief Guest at the national function being organized in New Delhi by the Election Commission of India. The event will be held at the Ashok Hotel, New Delhi and the Honourable President shall grace the occasion virtually from Rashtrapati Bhawan.

Sri Ravi Shankar Prasad, Honourable Union Minister for Law and Justice, Communications and Electronics and Information Technology will grace the function as the Guest of Honour.

Theme of 11th National Voters Day:

‘Making Our Voters Empowered, Vigilant, Safe and Informed’

The National Voters Day has been celebrated on January 25 every year since 2011, all across the country to mark the foundation day of Election Commission of India, i.e. 25th January 1950. The main purpose of the National Voters Day celebration is to encourage, facilitate and maximize enrolment, especially for the new voters. Dedicated to the voters of the country, the day is utilized to spread awareness among voters and for promoting informed participation in the electoral process. New voters are felicitated and handed over their Elector Photo Identity Card (EPIC) in the National Voters Day functions.

During the event, the Honourable President of India will confer the National Awards for the year 2020-21 and launch ECI’s Web Radio: ‘Hello Voters’. The National Awards for the Best Electoral Practices will be conferred on State and District level officers for their outstanding performance in the conduct of elections in different spheres such as IT initiatives, Security Management, Election Management during COVID-19, Accessible Election and contribution in the field of voter awareness and outreach. National Awards will also be given to important stakeholders like national icons, CSOs and media groups for their valuable contribution towards voters’ awareness.

ECI’s Web Radio ‘Hello Voters’

This online digital radio service will stream voter awareness programmes. It will be accessible through a link on the Election Commission of India website. The programming style of Radio Hello Voters has been envisaged to match that of popular FM radio services. It will provide information and education on electoral processes through songs, drama, discussions, spots, stories of elections etc. in Hindi, English and regional languages from all over the country.

भारत निर्वाचन आयोग 25 जनवरी 2021 को 11वां राष्ट्रीय मतदाता दिवस मना रहा है।

भारत के माननीय राष्ट्रपति, श्री राम नाथ कोविंद भारत के चुनाव आयोग द्वारा नई दिल्ली में आयोजित किए जा रहे राष्ट्रीय समारोह में मुख्य अतिथि होंगे। यह कार्यक्रम नई दिल्ली के अशोक होटल में आयोजित किया जाएगा और माननीय राष्ट्रपति इस अवसर को राष्ट्रपति भवन से प्राप्त करेंगे।

श्री रविशंकर प्रसाद, माननीय केंद्रीय कानून और न्याय, संचार और इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्री गेस्ट ऑफ ऑनर के रूप में कार्य करेंगे।

इस वर्ष के National Voters Day के लिए थीम “हमारे मतदाताओं को सशक्त, सतर्क, सुरक्षित और सूचित बनाना” है

भारतीय निर्वाचन आयोग के स्थापना दिवस यानी 25 जनवरी 1950 को पूरे देश में 2011 से हर साल 25 जनवरी को राष्ट्रीय मतदाता दिवस (National Voters Day) मनाया जाता है। एनवीडी उत्सव का मुख्य उद्देश्य प्रोत्साहित, सुविधा और अधिकतम करना है। नामांकन, विशेषकर नए मतदाताओं के लिए। देश के मतदाताओं को समर्पित, मतदाताओं के बीच जागरूकता फैलाने और चुनावी प्रक्रिया में सूचित भागीदारी को बढ़ावा देने के लिए दिन का उपयोग किया जाता है। नए मतदाताओं को National Voters Day में उनके निर्वाचक फोटो पहचान पत्र (ईपीआईसी) सौंपे जाते हैं।

इस आयोजन के दौरान, भारत के माननीय राष्ट्रपति वर्ष 2020-21 के लिए राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार प्रदान करेंगे और ECI के वेब रेडियो: ’हैलो वोटर्स’ का शुभारंभ करेंगे। बेस्ट इलेक्टोरल प्रैक्टिस के लिए राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार राज्य और जिला स्तर के अधिकारियों को विभिन्न क्षेत्रों जैसे आईटी पहल, सुरक्षा प्रबंधन, चुनाव प्रबंधन के दौरान COVID-19, सुलभ चुनाव और योगदान में चुनाव के संचालन में उनके उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन के लिए दिया जाएगा। मतदाता जागरूकता और आउटरीच का क्षेत्र। मतदाताओं की जागरूकता के लिए उनके बहुमूल्य योगदान के लिए राष्ट्रीय चिह्न, सीएसओ और मीडिया समूहों जैसे महत्वपूर्ण हितधारकों को राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार भी दिए जाएंगे।

ECI का वेब रेडियो: ‘हैलो वोटर्स ’: यह ऑनलाइन डिजिटल रेडियो सेवा मतदाता जागरूकता कार्यक्रमों को संचालित करेगी। यह भारत निर्वाचन आयोग की वेबसाइट पर एक लिंक के माध्यम से सुलभ होगा। रेडियो हैलो वोटर्स की प्रोग्रामिंग शैली लोकप्रिय एफएम रेडियो सेवाओं से मेल खाने के लिए परिकल्पित की गई है। यह देश भर से हिंदी, अंग्रेजी और क्षेत्रीय भाषाओं में गीत, नाटक, चर्चा, स्पॉट, चुनाव की कहानियों आदि के माध्यम से चुनावी प्रक्रियाओं की जानकारी और शिक्षा प्रदान करेगा।
