PUZZLE: 1

Eight persons are living in an apartment having eight floors. There are eight entrepreneurs living with eight leading businessmen of the country. Only one entrepreneur and one businessman stay on one floor. The names of the eight entrepreneurs are Mahesh, Rahul, Punit, Prakash, Amit, Nirmal, Prabhu and Raja – not necessarily in the same order. The name of the eight businessmen are Mukesh Ambani, Ratan Tata, Anil Aggarwal, Rahul Bajaj, Anand Mahindra, Kotak Mahindra, Cyrus Mistry and Anil Ambani.

•  Rahul is staying on an even-numbered floor and Rahul Bajaj is staying on the first floor
• There are two persons staying between the floors on which Prabhu and Amit live.
• Prakash is staying on the topmost floor with Anil Aggarwal.
• Ratan Tata is staying on the floor exactly below the floor of Anil Ambani but not with Punit.
• Mukesh Ambani is staying exactly between the floors of Cyrus Mistry and Anand Mahindra but not on the fifth floor.
• Prabhu is staying on the third floor.
• Raja is staying on an even-numbered floor and Mahesh is staying on an odd-numbered floor but not on the first floor.
• Cyrus Mistry is staying on the fourth floor but Raja is not staying with him.
• Anand Mahindra is staying on the second floor.
• Kotak Mahindra and Mahesh are not staying on the fifth floor.
• Anil Ambani is staying with Amit on floor number sixth.

PUZZLE: 2

Five persons P, Q, R, T and L are travelling in Rajdhani Express, but not necessary in the same order. Everybody has been allotted a berth in different coaches. The name of the berths are Lower Berth (LB), Middle Berth (MB), Side Lower (SL), Side Upper (SU) and Upper Berth (UB) but not necessarily in the same order. The names of the coaches are B5, B2, B3, B1 and B4 but not necessarily in the same order.

• T is travelling in an odd-numbered coach but not in B3. The person travelling in B2 has been allotted Side Upper Berth.
• R is travelling in an odd-numbered coach and T has been allotted Side Lower Berth.
• Q is travelling in an even-numbered coach.
• The person travelling in B3 has been allotted Upper Berth and Q is not the person.
• The person travelling in B1 has been allotted LB but T is not the person.
• L has been travelling in B2 and has been allotted Side Upper berth.
• P is not travelling on an even-numbered coach and has been allotted Upper Berth.

PUZZLE: 3

There are seven persons Rio, Regina, Rekha, Divya, Diya, Jiya and Ritu – who teach different subjects, viz Maths, Politics, Tamil, Mechanical, Computer, French and English but not necessarily in the same order. They teach on different days of the week starting from Monday. They like different colours, viz White, Yellow, Red, Black, Brown, Green and Pink, but not necessarily in the same order.

• Regina, who likes Green, teaches on the fourth day of the week but neither Maths nor English.
• Two persons teach between Regina and Jiya, neither of whom teaches on the 1st day of the week.
• There is one person between Rio and Rekha. But Rekha does not teach either on 1st or on 3rd day of the week.
• Rekha likes Yellow colour and teaches Maths.
• The one who teaches Tamil teaches on the last day of the week and likes Red colour.
• Divya does not teach on the day either immediately before or immediately after the classes by Rio, who does not like either Brown or White or Black colour.
• Ritu teaches immediately after Rekha and he likes White colour.
• Diya does not like Brown colour and teaches French.
• Rio does not teach either Computer or Mechanical. The one who teaches Politics takes class immediately after the day when Maths has been taught.
