Hindi Diwas is observed on 14 September
Hindi Diwas is observed on 14 September. The day is observed every year to celebrate the adoption of the Hindi language as one of the official languages of India. Hindi Diwas is celebrated to emphasize the importance of the Hindi language which is losing its importance in the country. In 1918, Mahatma Gandhi urged to make Hindi the national language of India. On 14 September 1949, Hindi written in Devanagari script became the official language of India under Article 343. Hindi language written in Devnagri script is one of the two languages of India, English is the second one. Hindi language is spoken by 250 million people as the original language. Hindi is known to be the third most spoken language in the world.

Kiren Rijiju lays foundation stones for various sports facilities in Leh
Union Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju has laid foundation stones for various sports facilities at the cost of over 12 crore rupees in Leh. The Minister laid foundation for a Synthetic Track & Astroturf for football in Leh at an open stadium. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kiren Rijiju said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi the Union Government is inculcating a sporting culture in the country which in turn keeps the people healthy and fit.

UP govt issues notification for setting up of Special Security Force
Uttar Pradesh government has issued a notification for the setting up of the Special Security Force which will be given responsibility of security of important government buildings, offices and industrial establishments. Private companies will also be able to take the services of SSF after making a payment.

BJP launches week-long ‘ Seva Saptah’ to mark PM Modi’s 70th birthday
BJP has launched a week-long campaign namely Seva Saptah to mark the 70th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi which falls on 17th this month. Various social initiatives are being undertaken by the party leaders and workers across the country.

India will be self-reliant in production of fertilizers by 2023
Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister D V Sadananda Gowda has said that India will be self-reliant in the production of fertilizers by 2023. He said, under Atma Nirbhar Bharat programme new fertilizer manufacturing units are being set up with an investment of 40 thousand crore rupees in the country to reduce dependency on import. Addressing a webinar on Self-Reliant India and Sustainable Agriculture through video conference, Mr Gowda said, recently the government has revived four urea plants in the country.

India hands over disaster relief material to Nepal
Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of India in Nepal Ms. Namgya C. Khampa, on behalf of the Government of India, handed over a consignment of disaster relief material to Ms. Chanda Chaudhary, Member of Parliament and President of the Nepal-India Women Friendship Society (NIWFS) in Kathmandu today. The relief material includes tents and plastic sheets for distribution to flood and landslide affected families in five districts of Nepal.

Former Union Minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh passes away
Former Union Minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh passed away. He was undergoing treatment at AIIMS,Delhi about a week ago after developing post-Covid complications. Raghuvansh Prasad Singh, recently resigned from RJD party.
